As an integratively trained counsellor and psychotherapist, I offer clients a wide range of therapeutic interventions to facilitate their personal empowerment and transformation. Although I have a special interest in end-of-life, grief and loss counselling, I continue to work with a diverse client base and have many years of clinical experience working with people who are facing anxiety, depression, abuse and relationship issues.
“Suzi has the most amazing ability to connect with you and your situation immediately, and understand what kind of help you need. I have learnt about myself and how to deal with situations more effectively in a short space of time.” – HH, Devon
What is Counselling?

My Counselling Background
I am a Registered Accredited Member of the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society). After qualifying in 2006, I started working as a counsellor in private practice and the voluntary sector.
Since completing my 4 years of training as a Person-Centred counsellor, I have continued to expand my knowledge and experience through regular and ongoing professional development and certification. I now follow a pluralistic approach to counselling and psychotherapy, drawing on many different modalities, including:
- Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping)
- Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP)
- Mindfulness meditation
- Breathwork
- Trauma-informed movement
- Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
- Solution-focused life coaching
- Grief and loss counselling.
This therapeutic fusion facilitates a multi-faceted approach to the cognitive, emotional or physiological dissonance that my clients may be experiencing.
What I offer…
- A professional, confidential and relaxed therapeutic environment
- A safe space to explore your issues at your own pace, without being judged or directed
- A space where you can discover more about yourself and your difficulties, gain insights, make connections and find solutions.
As your counsellor, it is my privilege to walk alongside you and offer empathy, acceptance, honesty, and respect. I am here to listen and observe, to truly hear and see you, and to help you gain a deep understanding of your world.
Together, we will work through issues that concern you, safely exploring, challenging, and integrating all aspects of your experience to allow your natural healing tendency—your authentic self—to emerge.
I do not direct you, offer advice, or offer solutions. I do not seek to lead, diagnose, control, label, or blame. I offer a safe, caring, and nonjudgmental space, one where you are accepted just as you are.
Over the last 19 years, clients have come to me seeking counselling and therapy for a wide range of difficulties, some of which are listed below:
